BELL LLOC WINERY

The Bell-Lloc Winery is located in Palamos Spain, northwest of Barcelona. It was completed in 2007 from a design by the Pritzker Prize winning firm RCR Arquitectes.

The cellar for the production of wine was built below the vineyard with an entry for visitors on one side and production on the other side. Corten steel plates recycled from an old cargo ship are used to enclose the spaces. The plan is organized with a series of cool dark spaces linked by passages. The tasting room is open to the trees beyond.

The winery is down a dirt road, but an easy drive from the highway about 90 minutes from the center of Barcelona. Please schedule a tour and tasting in advance.
