CORNING MUSEUM OF GLASS
The Corning Museum of Glass began in 1951 with a building by Harrison & Abramovitz followed with additions by Gunnar Birkerts in 1978 and by Smith-Miller+Hawkinson in 2001 including a visitors center and glass blowing demonstration area.
Thomas Phifer and Partners designed a Contemporary Art and Design Wing in 2015 with a translucent white glass facade.
The combination of distinct additions show different ways to detail glass.
