HARPA CONCERT HALL

In Reykjavik, Henning Larsen Architects designed the Harpa Concert Hall that was completed in 2011.

The form of the glass facade was inspired by the basalt rocks of Iceland. The artist Olafur Eliasson worked with the architects on the glass facade with color changing light fixtures. The lobby includes stepped seating along the facade and a ground floor cafe. The concert hall seats 1,800 for orchestra performances.

If you are hungry, find the restaurant Skal nearby for dinner or a drink.

Enjoy your visit to Iceland.
