INDEPENDENCE PALACE
Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the Independence Palace was designed by Ngo Viet Thu to replace the existing palace in 1966.
The building served as the home and workplace for the president of the Republic of Vietnam until the fall of Saigon in 1975. The building is an airy modern design with sunshades, modern interiors, a roof top helipad and a basement communications center. It is open for self-guided tours and on the grounds you can find Cafe 30/4 for coffee or a snack.
Be sure to see this building on a visit to Vietnam.
