ORANGERIE PRAGUE CASTLE
In the Royal Garden of the Prague Castle, Eva Jiricna designed the Orangerie that serves as a modern greenhouse growing tropical flowers and plants used in the castle.
The building completed in 2001 is a column free space 100 meters long with three climate zones. The laminated glass is supported from above by a diagonal stainless steel structure. Automated roller shades provide protection from the sun.
Try the Pisecka Brana cafe nearby in a reconstructed baroque fortification from 1721.
