POSTER HOUSE NYC
In New York City, LTL Architects designed the Poster House, a museum dedicated to presenting the culture and design of posters.
The ground floor space is on 23rd Street through to 24th Street. The design splits the space in half on a diagonal line with a neutral gray gallery and a public passage while imagining the poster as part of the urban realm. Existing ceiling barrel vaults, brick walls and cast iron columns are contrasted with new materials and precise detailing.
Grab something at the museum cafe or splurge for the Hotel Chelsea down the street in the Lobby Bar. Be sure to check out the Poster House.
