CASA BATLLO

Casa Batllo was renovated by Antonio Gaudi in 1906. The undulating broken tile facade has curved balconies, sculpted stonework and delicate oval windows looking out over the street.

Inside, you’ll see Gaudi’s curving wood stairs and a tile covered light well. At the end of the day the roof is spectacular as the lights come up and the sun goes down. On the roof, the tiled forms reminiscent of a dragon terminate in a turret and a cross.

Schedule a tour online and if you are hungry, try the Faborit cafe next door in Gaudi’s Casa Amatller with outdoor seating in the courtyard with a view back at the Casa Batllo.
