TOKYO INTERNATIONAL FORUM
Rafael Viñoly designed the Tokyo International Forum, winning an international competition.
The project opened in 1997 with a plan that organized the auditoriums in a row beside a pedestrian plaza and the conference center beside the railroad tracks and a convention hall below grade. The glass hall is connected via bridges and has a steel framed roof supported by two columns.
For a coffee or a snack try the Cafe Lexcel in the Forum.
It was wonderful to see it in person after being part of the design team years ago.
